I believe that mount just replaces the shroud...

I believe that mount just replaces the shroud around the stock exhaust? The little plastic pieces either side of the can, not the actual number plate / turn signal fender.

On my 03 I ended up doing a -1/+2 520 conversion, and was still good for 250km/h (155mph), which is 1.5x the legal speed limit.

Worked well and acceleration was a lot better, it doesn't sacrifice...

Screw it in until you feel tension, then back it off a little. Start the bike and then screw it back in just until you hear the rattle stop, then back it off 1/4 turn.

I usually use blue loctite...
