So I figured since I put my build thread under 07-12 upgrade threads I should probably start it where you're supposed to.

So I picked this 08 600RR for 4k with only 3,500 miles on it. The only thing that's wrong with it is where he dropped it, maybe forgot the kickstand but I need to replace the upper cowl, (already on order), because some clips broke off that bring the plastics together. I need to replace the left rear view mirror which that was an upgrade I wanted to do anyways.

Here are a few pics that I have so far, I need to get it cleaned up and out in the sun and take some good pics like you guys do, but it is just so hard to stop riding it haha.

Upgrades so far:
Two Bros Black Series Slip-on
TST IT/FE/LED Plate Light
TST Forward Flush Mounts
Honda Racing Tank Protector
ASV Unbreakable Shorty's
Motomummy Res Sock

On Order/ sitting in my "install" pile:
New Upper Cowl
Zero Gravity Black Windscreen
Red Windscreen Bolts
Core Moto Translucent Ride Brake lines with black ends, and red banjos
Driven Oil Cap
Driven Fuel Cap
Driven D-3 Grips
Skur Triple and Cluster cover
BK Moto HIDS/8000K/White Angel Eyes/Red Demon Eyes/Flexible LED strips
Going to powder coat rear sets, passengers and exhaust mid pipe in two weeks
Brembo 45 degree rear res and OEM Res delete (Thanks to Dave (CBR Time)
Dyno Power Commander V with Autotune

I hoping to get my bike looking clean like a lot of you guys have on here, keep posting your advice guys because I am eating every bit of it up! :gun1:

So I got some more goods in the mail for the weekend and WAS really excited about getting them installed! I really like the D-3 grips, I think they did a great shop with the metal collars, a lot more unique then just a basic grip. I really wanted the D-3 Bar Ends to go with them because I thought it looked really clean out those bar ends went all the way in and met the grip instead of the stock ones that have a space, however the bar ends were not working out. I called Driven and discussed with guys on here, and I could not get them on with removing the rubber expander piece but I do not want to do that so I have my stocks back on and will be looking into either some Yoshi's or Woodcraft bar ends, I also found a set that look like the stock ones and just have CBR engraved on it which look nice as well. Grips came off and on really easy with no issues!!

They look SOO much better then the stock ones, really disappointed that I am not going to be keeping the bar ends though, oh well...

Finally got the bar ends on correctly and they are working out great!

I got some new stuff in the mail the other day. I got a smoked double bubble windscreen from coremoto.com. I have not heard much about this company and really wanted to try some of their products. I have just recently ordered a complete brake line kit from them that will look badass. Also, I wanted to get some woodcraft sliders but I do not think I am ready to start cutting into my plastics yet. My buddy got these sliders and spools and told me that they good well so I wanted to give them a shot! They are a little too big for my liking but they will work for now! Also the triple cover from Skur which I like a lot...I want to get the cluster cover as well.

So I just got back from about three weeks of leave and I received a ton of things..

Upper cowl that I got off the ebay from Hong Kong. Overall I give it a 9/10, it was a little snug of a fit and I would love to get an OEM one by the end of the year but I have money elsewhere so a 250 dollar upper cowl is not in the question right now. I bought this for 75 dollars so there are NO complaints from me......so far.

Here is why the original is being replaced, whoever had the bike before broke off this tab, and did a terrible plastic repair when they broke it. It was causing the left side upper to constantly come lose from the tank plastics. Hopefully will work fine now!

Looks good on, there is a small space between the plastic and the new tinted screen due to my not having the foam pad that the OEM screen had on it, I ordered some material and will fix this shortly.

Small gap..no biggie since I only take this one on the street

All taken apart ready to get the subframe painted, well partially. I will be taking it apart and completely powder coated, but not until this winter.

Rear sets, passenger pegs, heel guards, shift linkage, and some hardware back from Tripage after getting PC'd. This dude did this for about 160 less than what the local shop wanted. I would recommend this for ANYONE! It's legit, not a single blemish.

Cox Rad guard before I have a disaster like I see some of these guys on here deal with because they have no guard.

Probolt Windscreen screw kit for 10 bucks off Amazon.com The package looks like a d*mn elephant stepped on it but there was no issues!

Random but I picked up 25 push rivets for 4 dollars off ebay. Took two weeks to get here but can't beat the price! Fit perfect!

Still have to install some frame and spool sliders, red reflective rim tape, and skur triple cover. More pics coming soon!

So I finished getting some parts installed including some some lawst caws frame plugs which is my favorite addition. I got her cleaned up..scrubbed rims good and wiped down with WD-40. Lawst Caws did send me one worn frame plug so I email them and hopefully they will send me a replacement.

Frame sliders...they will work for my Blue Ridge ride this weekend down the east coast, but they are too bulky and I have Woodcrafts on order.

Skur trip cover...awesome...ordered the cluster cover just now...can't wait.

Bike looks awesome with the rear sets and passenger pegs PC'd by TRIPAGE!! A++++ for that Tripage. Plastidipped the subframe...could have had it PC'd but don't think I need to when I am ordering an understand and you won't see a lot of it..maybe I will change my mind but for now it looks clean with everything on.

Rim tape..got it done..a pain in the a$$ and going to order tapeworks rim tape and replace it once the winter hits.

As soon as my local shop gets there supplies in I am getting my mid pipe ceramic coated and spray painting the round part where the mid pipe meets the headers with high temp paint thanks for a suggestion from some .net members. I want to ceramic the whole exhaust all the way down the headers but not doing that during riding season! Too much work.

Sliders that will get replaced soon

Coat number one...I did four coats and had no issues with it peeling...yet haha

I guess I need some quality assurance from the misses?

Rim tape and wheels cleaned up

Cox Rad..I like it but beware that the design on the website is not what you get. I talked to them and their new design is the tabs on the outside not the inside, which I do not like but at least I am still protected. A little pricey for a piece of metal with holes but better than a busted radiator. Also fixed that ghetto wire job you see from the previous owner. Always something!

Here are a few pics of the stickers on the swing arm removed, I removed my base decals from my left upper since we finally don't have to have them.

Anyone know if it's cool that I remove this sticker on the frame with the vin or should I leave it? I hate having it on there.

This is the one I want to remove....

Clean swing arm and no more base decals on left upper

AMERICA!!! :) HAHA

One of the little ones had to get in there I guess...she is always climbing on this...hope it never falls! :( :(

My opinion on the bike is for one is coming along great. Two unless you are going for a black out bike , I think it would look good with some subtle color pops. I see you have rim tape. If that's the color you want to go with find small things that you can add around the bike in that color. Such as that color on the seat when you get one, possible the fairing bolts, and chain. Just my opinion.

Oh yeah I am...I don't like the thought of red fairing bolts but I am putting a little red here and there. Red on the lever adjuster..I'm going to get an oil cap axle nuts..like you said red stitch on seats. Maybe replace the collars in my grips with red ones.

Thanks though I appreciate it!
