Motogp IS going 800, so I agree it seems very possible.
MotoGP doesn't run mass produced bikes. They are ONE OF A KIND bikes. In fact, NO PART of a MotoGP bike can be the same as a part used in mass production.

MotoGP cc size has nothing to do with what size the Manufacturers make their machines. MotoGP technology eventually trickles down to mass produced bikes (such as similar styling of the RR series to the RC211V) but it can not be the same parts.

I highly doubt Honda has any plans for a CBR750 (refer to my previous post as to why.)

would be great if they brought it out. I actually like that motogp is going to 800cc, means we may have something similar in the near future. I hate the fact I am considering the GSXR 750 because I can't stand suzuki's. I'm bikeless at the moment.

SilverSurfer beat me to it. The MotoGP rules state that the bikes must be completely non-production. If Honda builds a bike with a V5, it cannot be related to the engine in the RC211V, at least until the 800cc bikes come online. The same will hold true when the 800's are racing. No production engines. Now if WSB changes the rules, then we'll see new bikes reflecting them, ie RC51, GSX-R750, ZX-7R, etc.

Personally, I'd love nothing more than to see a CBR750RR. It would mean I wouldn't have to buy that gixxer750 I've been eyeing, or wait a few more years until I think I could handle a liter bike. But our bikes are race replicas, so they are going to reflect the rules of whatever race organizations Honda decides to participate in.

I highly doubt it since the 20th Aniversary is for the CBR600. Lastly as far as I know Honda has never made a CBR 750, only a 600 and 1000.

CB750, no CBR, but there was at 900rr, 929rr, and 954rr :icon_lol:

Gotta respect the Fireblade as u can tell by my nick, I'm a fan. What I want to know is for the person who started this thread; Where did ur friend hear about this controversal CBR750 business anyways???

There's also a CBR400RR. European or Japanese only though. Can't remember.

Personally a cbr 750 would be nice...but they would spend less on r&d for the 600 and the 1000, and i just dont want that to happen. So they should just stick with what they have already and work on makin the 07 bad a**.

Doh... yeah my bust. who could ever forget those bikes. I remember when the 900RR came out in 1993 made almost as much a stir to the industry as when the first Replica Racer came out, the orginal 86 Gixxer 750. The only 750 sportbikes Honda has made has been the RC30 and RC45 oh an don't forget the B E A U T I F U L... NR750

Another one... man it has been so long since I heard or saw one of those and the 400 I had forgotten. The wealth of knowledge on this board never ceases to amaze me.

If Honda does come out with a 750 CBR i am going to upgrade.:01_thumbu

Do you guys know if the 250RR is available in the States?

Funny your friend mentioned this because a good friend of mine got the inside scoop awhile back (a month ago) that Honda will be coming out with a bike that produces 190 HP. Now that figure may drop down somewhere in the high 160's or low 170's if you factor in weight, air, and all that other crap.

Now, a 750 CBR rumor sounds hand in hand with what my friend mentioned to me...hmmmm.

I believe the only way you'd get one over there is as a personal import. They were released by Honda Australia in the mid-late 90's for a couple of years, but they made em in Japan since the early 90's. Theres squillions of them in Australia now as they make a great little learner bike (we're restricted to 250cc max on our provisional licence) and have been bought in by heaps of companys that ship them over from Japan, clean them up, spray the fairings and get them Australian complianced so that they can be registered on our roads.

Heres a pic of my old baby that I learnt to ride on. (thanks josh)

need some better proof buddy....

That would be super if honda makes a 750cc bike. For sure i will buy it..... a 750cc bike gives you the handling of a 600 and the power of almost a litre bike....
