hey guys. i have an 2004 cbr 600rr with roughly 11000kms on it and when i go to start it up after it having sat all night parked it has a "clacking" sort of noise. after it warms up for a couple mins this goes away. anyone know what this could be. i just changed the oil in it as well and use 10w-40 hp4 honda oil. the noise only happens after it sat over night and when the engine's cold. also it sounds like its comming from the right hand side. could it be my cct? I was thinking that it could be since im pretty sure its hydraulic and doesnt have the right tension on the chain when i first start it cold. but once the oil pressure comes up it goes away.

any help here is great. hopefully a APE manual tensioner will fix the noise. i hope its not serious as i love this bike.

thanks again

no, i have the same bike. that noise is totally normal- don't worry about it. it's just the oil getting to the valves, like you say- after a min or two it quiets down. no biggie, just warm it up and ride it. mine has done that all 25,000 miles of the time i've owned it. no probs whatsoever.
