Front Fork Seal Replacement

Not going to start an oil argument, but here's more, much, much, more about fork oil than you ever wanted to know:

Fork oil weight has no universal standard so one company's 10w can actually be another's 7.5w. I've used various weights and brands and never really noticed a difference.

You will have to remove the forks to change the seals. Changing seals is not hard and the service manual will guide you through it step by step but it really helps if you have a fork spring compressor and a fork seal driver. Driver is worth the $40 or so bucks to assure you seat them properly without damaging them.

The price you got quoted is way high, at least for CONUS. If I bring them the shocks my local shop charges $62 per fork plus the seals and oil (which I also supply so I know what I'm getting).
