Thanks man...good link and pictures too. Wonder if there are any signals/ mirrors with the wiring ran inside the base.

There definitely are some that have the wiring inside the base, but they cost more.

Honestly when I first bought the mirrors I didn't realize they would stick out until after they arrived on my doorstep. I was really annoyed initially, but if you snake it the right way, you really can't even see them unless your head is down low under the nose of the bike.

From the post I sent you, his wires are sticking out a bit much but on my bike they're pretty hidden. I'll snap a photo later of my bike and you can decide for yourself.

In the end, it's whether you want to spend the extra money or not.

The wires can definitely be hidden more, but I left slack like that in mine so I could basically fold the mirrors down or up. Sometimes I ride with a few guys at night that like to leave their brights on, and let me tell you nothing makes twisties at night harder than brights shining through your mirrors. Being able to fold them up and use them only when I need them was my whole application and the way I installed them works well for me.

There was another set I had seen on ebay where the wires ran through the base, but I seen a few reviews where the base didn't line up with the stock mounts to well. Just a few options though.

Ahh I gotcha. I just went and tried folding in my mirrors and I see what you mean, they pull in on the wires - maybe I'll pull out some slack as well.
