When I bought my bike, it didnt have any barends on it, and i had a horrible vibration on throttle grip that left my thumb, index, and middle fingers completely numb after riding for more than 15 minutes.

After reading about how awesome these bar-ends were I decided to spend $70 and try em. Well I loctited em in, and took it for a spin, and the vibrations are gone, 99% gone.

They are 330grams each, stainless steel, really heavy but they work awesome. Ill have to paint them somehow though, looks ugly with the black grips, and they are pretty long.

just ordered some... i have the same problem and i don't much much pressure on the bars. maybe it is bad circulation but it is only on my throttle hand. i will see how they do.

One of mine that came with the bike fell off and I was at the dealer yesterday exchanging my tankbag and I picked up some OEM bar ends since the other one on my bike is carbon/red.

Well I get one of them put on and go to the other side to get the one off and the damn thing won't come off. Whatever it is screwed to is spinning inside of the clipon. Does that make sense?

I'm not sure how to get it out.

hold the grip realy tight while unbolting it that should help stop the spinning but you will have to squeeze pretty hard.

when i was putting on the throttle side barend, i held the barend itself to keep it from spinning and bolted it in, if you look inside the grip without the barend, there is like a ledge, and there is a ledge on the barend, you line those up, and it should keep it from spinning if you hold onto the barend

the throttle side barend doesnt move with the grip, not sure if its suppose to, but i left just enough space between the grip and barend so the throttle wont get stuck on the barend

it should work the same as the right side. you can do it either way... hold the bar end and undo the screw or squeeze the grip. you may have to get some one to help you as it may be difficult to hold and turn at the same time.

That was the weirdest thing ever. I got it to work but it was a pain. I was able to slide this metal tube out of the clipon and was finally able to get the old barend off. It took like 10 minutes cause it was in there good.

do you have to screw those bar ends into the clipon? I dont have any bar ends but the pieces on the inside of the clipons that you're supposed to screw the bar ends into are broken.. so i'm tryin to find bar ends that dont require you to screw them in..
how are they broken?

i just got my bar ends in they work well def. noticable. they match your stock levers well. plus being that my bike is silver they don't stand out to much. i will try to post some pics if you guys want.

So these are alot more comfortable than the OEM ones? Is it a noticeable difference? because i already have a mint set of OEM barends ...thinking is it worth the 70$ to upgrade to the longer ones?

i feel that it has cut down a decent amount of the vibration. don't get me wrong the vibration is still there just not as apparent. they are very well made and def. heavier. i think it was worth the money. plus it is a bit of a added crashprotection if you go down.

Hmm...I don't know what vibrations you guys are talking about. I actually switched to new bar ends that were a lot lighter then the stock ones. I never had a vibration problem...mine is a 06' RR.
vibrations are subjective. i bet we can put 20pound dumbells on each bars and we'd still feel vibrations.

the question is, if i were to make a 500mile trip out on my 600RR, is the motovation bar ends better than the OEM bar ends?

hamm, i don't think the longer sliders offer any more protetion than the stock bar ends. the damage usually goes to the tripe tree or the lower triple tree or the clip on or worse bend a fork...possibly. actually it "may" actually do more damage from extra drag created by the longer bar end?

who knows, i maybe wrong. i'm just speaking from the experiences i had this season dropping my bike.(6times) someone more knowlegeable should chime in on this matter.
