Problem wheel front CBR 600 rr 2004 (SOLVED)

Gap is fine. Fork slider is NOT located laterally by axle. It needs to be able to move laterally during installation on axle in order to perfectly centre lower fork slider in-line with axis of fork tube. Depending upon wear & tear of fork bushings and any slight bending of fork tubes, that gap will be different on every single bike. Use this procedure to properly install front wheel. Start halfway through with R6 axle installation and fork-bouncing.

Once axle has been installed with fork-tubes centred and locked-in. Go back and tighten brake calipers. This was step I missed that had me replace pretty much entire front-end of bike due to shaking. Nope, I didn’t centre calipers over rotors.

Thanks for help , so the axle center Is in line with forks, the problem is the left spacers, between wheel and forks remain gap ( ascertained is ok) , but nor cover by spacer, i mean the forks left not touch spacer, despite all is centered, so the wheel maybe can move laterally or not ?
Do this exercise to answer this question once and for all along with all future searches:

1. unbolt left fork axle clamps completely.

2. grab left fork slider near axle and shove laterally, it moves a little?

3. from left side, grab tyre at front and rear

4. shove wheel left and right

Does wheel slide on axle?

Dumb question from a PC40 owner.

Are spacers same dimensions?

IIRC......read somewhere that spacers are different dimensions left/right side????
Yes, both spacers are same on left & right sides of PC40 2007+ wheels. However, wheel is not symmetrical. There’s left and right side to it. If you flip wheel and put it back in, the brake rotors will end up not centred. Rub and drag on one side of brake-caliper.

BTW - for those wanting to swap lighter PC40 2007+ wheels into earlier generations, no easy bolt-on solution. The brake rotors are about 11mm closer together. So you’d need to use spacers and this loads bolts in shear because you lose the support tabs touching rotors.

And you’d need some custom spacers made as neither PC37 nor PC40 spacers will work for this swap.

Thanks dannoxyz, newredrider 🙏
You're welcome!

Did you do experiment?
Does wheel slide on axle when left fork clamp is loose?
