I'm trying to install a set of Gilles Factor X rearsets and I'm stuck at the point of removing the old gear shift pedal. The rod attaches to the lever via a ball joint and I'm not sure if there is anything special I have to do or just pull it off. I've been a fair amount of pressure on it with no luck and I don't want to break it. I've searched all over the place and read a number of posts on installing Vortex rearsets but it looks like they all come with a rod so you don't have to worry about removing the stock one from the pedal. Apologies ahead of time if this is already posted somewhere obvious, I usually don't suck at searching. Thanks!!
