Hi. I have an 03 I bought used. Since ive had it, it starts fine but the idle is very low. I know its FI so I thought the choke was handled by the ECM. I dont know what would cause this. Basically starts up and runs the hot idle (under 900RPM). It stays runing but its really rough. If I add a little throttle it revs up and smooths out but as soon as i let go it goes back to a low rough idle until it gets to operating temp and everything is normal. Im gonna take a video but i didnt have time today. Thanks in advance.

I have played with the idle adjustment. The problem is the idle is set correctly for when the bike warms up. My issue is that the cold startup idle is very low. Adjusting the idle up at startup would make it way too high when the bike comes up to operating temp.... I did try that though :banghead::banghead:

My tach is actually broken. I got the "900RPM" figure from when I wes researching this issue. My hot idle is set correctly I just cant tell what the actual rpms are.

The bike runs and idles great after temp comes up to 180. This is not an idle issue. For some reason the choke on cold start is not being initiated. Cat for the life of me figure out why.. ECU maybe?
