Has anyone the means to determine the quality differences between the two? Ive been after a set for a while and these seem to good to be true

at @250$ a piece from the dealer, those AMs are less than half the price of new OEM headlights. the ebay ones are coming from china. who knows how long their "free int'l shipping" takes. GL

If I was you I'd try to find an OEM headlight in the classifieds. The china lenses will yellow a lot faster than OEM because the quality of the plastic is not on par with OEM. They may look fine for awhile but you really get what you pay for.

I was in the market for a new headlight and I found a slightly used OEM on here for the same price as ebay....and it got here in a few days instead of a month or so.

From what I've read the fitment is extremely close to OEM if not exact. They are basically Chinese copies just like the fairings that are sold on eBay. They should fit just fine but the plastic used to manufacture will be cheaper than OEM. You can expect the clear lenses to yellow a lot faster than OEM.

Lights arrived today. Ive never installed lights on my bike, it never came with them...

Took a while to route the wiring and work out what to put on when. More to the point the quality

unfortunately, had to send these ones back. As i discoverd they point in the wrong direction.. They seem to aim the beam toward the right hand side rather than the left hand side for us Aussie riders.

Any one had a similar experience? Not sure what the oem lights produce, i assume there's a difference in beam direction per left hand/right hand traffic

Always OEM if you have the cash. Some after market Kits look good and fit but they are based off the OEM. So the clone will never be as good as the original.

But the only downside to OEM is usually it costs more but usually that's because it has a better fit and finish.

So again if you have the funds find OEM but if you don't nothing wrong with aftermarket stuff just don't expect it to fit exactly right or last as long as OEM. (in most cases)
