My Dainese Zen jacket has made in Ukraine on the Dainese label. Same goes for the jacket liner. My Dainese Hellracer gloves have made in Vietnam on the inside. Products are authentic and were originally purchased from Cycle Gear. I don't care who puts it together though, Dainese is some quality gear and it shows in the design and quality of the leathers. Best gear I've ever had for sure.

Ukraine. Yeah, thats where my suit is made too. Couldn't remember until you said it. Oh well, its international business. I don't care where it is made, as long as it is quality and as long as it isnt made in China.

CBR,
sorry for the quick reply.
All Dainese suits are cut in house and a few models went out to ukraine or romania. However, i have just been told that all dainese suits are now manufactured in house for quality control.
gloves are also all cut in house but assembled in china and vietnam.

Sorry for any conflicting information.
also, sorry for this email punctuation, im in italy right now and im not used to typing fast on italian keyboard.

Thanks Michael.

Were you told why they have changed? IE is there a problem with the suits made in Ukraine?

Dainese

CBR,

I just asked Dainese your question and the reason for the change was to keep all Dainese protections in house with regards to the suits.

There has been a huge amount of "fake" Dainese turning up in Europe, so this was a measure to try and eliminate this.

The new collection is looking very strong, fashionably and more importantly with regards to technical innovation. This year Dainese will be introducing some more industry changing advances!

Best,

Michael

ive got frank thomas leathers. im pretty sure theyre made in the england.

Fake dainese, how can you tell its a fake? do they have them in the US, personally all the stuff I buy if from you, so I dont have any problem with it. but it would be good information to know.

I'm not saying that its not quality cause its from china.
I'll say it. Two things come from China, things we know are crap and things we have yet to discover are crap. There were 7 deadly recalls from China this year alone, and I'm not talking about product defects. Who the frick doesn't know that LEAD is poisonous for consumption! Also, not deadly, but fricken stupid all the same, using plaster (sheet rock grade) to "fill" knock-off viagra pill shapes. You thought you would be getting an erection but instead you got "wall". China should be on the nuke list. Not the Chinese, but the people running that place. Fricken greedy a-holes. Don't buy anything from China that comes in red, yellow, or white.

I agree about nuking China. But while we are at it, we should add the white collar criminals all over the world to that list that just care about making a buck. **** those guys.

Absolutely. All over the world including the good old US of A.

Dont get me started on this, I hate the way corporations are ruining the world.

Hey Banana, Thanks a lot for making the trip up from San Diego and I'm glad that your gear is working out well :)

Brian, to answer your ?, Dainese is easily to notice IF you know the Dainese line such as an employee of the company. It can be very difficult for consumers because they do not know the exact sorts of leather that we use.
Most of the immitation Dainese has been found on Ebay and there have been a few cases in the U.S. So much has been found worldwide in fact that a warnining was up on the Dainese website last year.
Just buy from D-Stores, Dealers, and legitimate members on forums and you should be fine.

I'll be happy to post up pictures of some of the new items for 2008.
Where am I allowed to post them?

Mike

I don’t know why you guys have so much against items made in China. If you really think about it, China is on the path of becoming a second Japan, where they are taking over the world market with cheaper price product. Lets look at the history of how Japan become the would tech leader of the world. After WW2, Swiss was the number one precise precision tool maker in the world. Where they been making those items for years. during the 50-60s, Japan saw this opportunity and capitalize in this field with newer equipment and manufacturing method and flood the market with cheaper and more affordable precision tool. During that period, Japanese product was considered inferior items both in price and quality and Japanese companies did not invest much money into developing new products either(like what China is during mostly for the pass 10 years). lets look at Toyota, when it first started, they are making Fords copies during the 70s, Japanese cars was consider inferior to the American cars. where 30 years later, I don’t think any one will say the same thing about Japanese cars. in addition, making every thing automated takes a lot of money, considering the amount of natural resources in china (70% of world steel production from China) and the amount of Labor power, you cant blame companies for wanting to go manufacture in China. this is not to say that the Chinese don’t make hi tech items, stuff like Ipods are made in China in a full automated processes is a good example. more over, China have change is manufacturing capability dramatically in the pass 10 years. as of now Vietnam and other SE Asia countries are consider the source for cheap labors, which is a very big concern for the Chinese. this is also the reason that the Chinese is trying so hard to keep their currency low.

Its not the pretty picture you paint, wu_dot_com. China's human rights is horrendous, and plus, china is amassing huge amounts of weaponry. China is also communist. Yet we do business with them.

Its becoming a race for resources, and one day it will be a war for resources. It will be us against china... since everything is made in china, things we depend on, what do you think that will do to our economy when we are no longer receiving things from China? Even parts to things we assemble in the united states?
