Is there now a decibel limit/sound restriction for sportbikes at those tracks?

Im pretty sure i already know the answer. But ill explain why i ask after the answer is told. :drunk:

this would be new 'news' but don't understand why they'd have any noise restrictions due to being on the out skirts of a rosemond. no where near most of the public that lives in that area.
i'll ask my buddy alex @ kyle racing, that's his home track, so i know he'll have an accurate answer

heres why i ask...

ive been on the rifle range all week. on monday afternoon in the range house, there was this kid speaking with another person about bikes.
3 others joined in as i walked in the middle of their conversation...
they were talkin about liter bikes and mods. the kid had a r1 and the guy he was speakin to ask if he would ever race or track that bike.
well the kid goes on about how he cant take it to the track at willow springs because...he has an aftermarket exhaust.
and then says his bike is so souped up that if he were to put his stock exhaust back on, that his engine would blow up.
the whole time, this other guy was takin in all his ******** about his souped up bike, stock exhaust blowin up his engine etc.
i stood there and just smirked and shook my head in disgust.
then i interrupted and asked what does an aftermarket exhaust have to do with willow springs?
he said that willow springs doesnt allow aftermarket pipes/exhaust because of noise restrictions.
instantly i asked...since when? and where he got this info from, what source? he said he heard it from the guys that work at willow springs.
i told him that i find that hard to believe, and told him he was full of sh!t. i then asked if he knew what track in california has an actual decibel restriction.
he couldnt answer and his face turned red! then as i walked away, i said out loud for all the other riders/squids/noobs to hear...
willow springs has their own race org and test, track, and race everything from race cars to race bikes. i doubt they have a restriction.
theres no residence or suburbs big enough around the track for the sounds to affect living areas. the only track im aware of that has a restriction for bikes is Laguna Seca!

i cannot stand ignorant idiots spreading stupid incorrect info to others in a group.
i tried to find this guy the next day to put him in his place. but havent seen him or his bike.
figured he didnt ride this week because of the rain and mud around the range/range house.

spell check sucka!
"disregard"

i enjoy walking in on those conversations. usually a stupid lcpl
i think he was a cpl. the others listening, believing his garbage and talking with him when i walked into the range house, were a ssgt, 2 sgts, 1 lcpl.
and there was a bunch of us snco's/staff nonfires mingling around hearing this garbage. ignorance is bliss, but not for me. lol

ignorance is abundance around sportbike riders in the usmc, its amazing.

I'm sure there are others, but I think the only track in CA that has a decibel restriction is Laguna Seca.

There are plenty of cars that run at WSIR that will blow the doors off of any friggin motorcycle as far as noise goes.

never heard one there yet. interesting.
I grew up on the north end of lancaster, I remember those sonic booms well, especially when the shuttle would reenter. haha, loved being around people that had never heard a sonic boom, scares the crap outta them.
I have no actual input on this topic. Just the sonic boom part reminded me of a few weeks ago when I was playing beer pong with my friends. We were getting pretty drunk and ended up coming up with words/phrases for busting a nut on a girl. Our top ROFL worthy one (literally) was Sonic Boom!!!

I went weak at the knees, fell on the floor, and fuckin lost it.:crackup: You know it's good sh!t when the girls ROFL too.

Hadoken and 'Get over here' (like Scorpion) were up there too...

That's all I got.:fyou::bootyshak

P.S. What a coincidence... Guile's theme from Street Fighter 4 just came on my ipod. Clearly this is fate.

No BS! They are ridiculously loud. I remember a jet a couple years back broke the barrier before he got into Owens valley right over the Sierras here in Central Ca. Shook windows for miles. I don't know if the pilot was suppose to be going that fast in that part of the state but that did scare the crap out of me. Lol
