i understand her view because she was in shock and shes young. She just saw a motorcyclist go flying over her car n lay on the ground for a little bit. Its the a-hole dad that is really pissing me off. All i want is my BIKE!! i dont care about the pain, i'll let it slide, i understand everyone makes mistakes. She wasnt intox or anything, it was just a honest mistake. Im beat up, i'll miss a few days of work but its cool.... honest mistake. Just pay me back for the bike that you broke in half. I dont wanna go through all the trouble of getting a lawyer, going to court, sueing your ass for pain and my bike. Just do the right thing and pay me for my bike.

 

1. always go to the hospital. Looks better when you're trying to make a case.
2. what does the police report say? Make sure you're absolutely NOT at fault. She violated YOUR right-of-way anyway, so you're pretty much mostly not at fault.
3. glad to hear you're ok.

4. MSF would've taught you Emergency braking. You locked up BOTH brakes....HUGE no no. Obviously you weren't ready to brake heavily....worse, you weren't TRAINED to brake quickly in an emergency.

Get your license. You should be getting an "unlicensed driver" ticket as well, which comes up on Insurance forms. Doesn't matter if it's dusk, and the sun was out...you need a rider with a M endorsement to stay within 1/4 mile of you (that's the restriction in NY).

You're not legally riding..and she's just stupid. Either way, someone's paying for that bike!

 

washington state law doesnt require a person to be riding near you when you have your permit. The only requirements is that you cant ride at night when the sun goes down and you cant carry a passanger. I am being cited for the no endorsement, but she is being cited for not yeilding. Shes at fault.

Damn sucks to hear that, sorry about your bike. Why didnt you get a police report? If she made a left infront of you which was apparent, and you had wittnesses, it should have been a done deal.
