Sup everyone,

Was wondering if anyone has any tips or tutorial on how to bleed my front and rear brakes. Reason being is every time I brake it feels really soft and It definitely does not feel like its up to par. :ponder: Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I bled mine for the first time a few months back. Its actually pretty simple and painless. If I remember right all I used was a piece of aquarium tubing, a styrofoam cup, a small wrench, screwdriver and new brake fluid.

You should do the master cylinder first, then the right side (i.e. closer to the MC) then the left.

Highly recommended:

*Speed bleeders (then you can do both simultaneously by attaching two hoses on the calipers). Note: MC doesn't get a speed bleeder.

*Stainless steel brake lines: this will give you consistent feel of the brakes instead of spongy since the OEM lines are rubber and cause the brake fluid to expand outwards as well as down. Instead of just just going down to the calipers.

FYI: I'm assuming you have non-ABS bike, because then you have more work to do.

OP just fyi... I could be wrong on this but it would seem the consensus around here on the best brake fluid to use is Motul RBF600. I couldn't find it in my area so I didn't use it, but everyone says its the bees knees.

I heard the same thing. I just bled mine last week so I got OEM fluid from my dealer. The brakes are so much better now. I need to find some Motul for the next time.

Okay cool! I will definitely look into the motul RBF600 for fluid and the tool kit for bleeding out my brakes. Damnnn For 6 bucks Ill definitely pick that tool kit up lol. Luckily HF is only 10 minutes away from me. Any suggestions on some brands for the braided steel lines??
