All together and working. Knock on wood lol. Is there. Way to shut off the auto arm feature its already driving me nuts lol

hahah, yes this drives me nut sometime too..

1. just got done riding, turn bike off, it''ll beep to remind you, BUT will not arm.
if you wish to arm, you may then arm it.

2.BUT, once the bike is arm, thats when it gets annoying.

why?
because if you press un-arm. , the bike will only un arm for about ...30 secs?? and then it will automatically arm itself.. this is the nut part here...

3. SOLUTION. so to unarmed the bike. you actually have to press unarm on the remote, then physically turn your key to the on position ,then turn it off. it will then beep again to remind you to arm it. BUT dont ARMed it, cause at this point you WANT it to be URARMED right..?

hope this helps..

here's a good example how it can drive you nuts::

bike is arm,...you inside sleeping,etc...its raining outside...etc. rains keep triggering your remote, and you have to physically go out and turn that key.

ha that pissedss me off..

It pissed me off too and then someone tried to steal it that night.

I didn't even take the time to go shut the alarm off, they just used the cover of rain already triggering the alarm to try to lift it. Not a bad idea... for a criminal. Luckily, the rest of the alarm and the reverse shift(GP) kept them from getting more than a few hundred feet.

They couldn't get it started and they couldn't find first as I found it in 5th. Each time someone has tried to steal my motorcycle, I have found it ground down to 5th/6th.

Okay So after sitting all night. I went to it and hit the remote start. Crank no start tried it 2 more times without touching the bike 3rd time it started??? I'm wondering if My battery is getting weak so its not cranking over enough times to in the start cycle the alarm allows. I have noticed this last summer it cranks longed than a lot of my friends bikes. I do believe I have the original battery from 04 if not someone bought a new battery form the dealer. I bought it 3 years ago with 7k on it. Now its got 33k and I have not changed the battery my self. Last night when it was working every time it was fresh off the charger. after it got pretty low while trying to figure out why it would start. Maybe this was my original problem?

It's possible. Mine stopped after a while as well. I chalked it up to it needing a tune up. Then I lost my remote(s) and couldn't attempt a remote start. Right now it's torn apart, the battery is dead and I'm going to go in and solder all of the connections while I have it broken down.

Charge it up and see what happens on a full charge. If it starts on the first go around, I think it's safe to say you have narrowed down your(and maybe our) problem.

Of course, if that is the problem, what is the fix?

I use the alarm to tell me it's raining and then move it out of the rain lol

But yes even though now my bike won't self arm every time I take my keys out, it will self alarm if it was locked and I try to unlock it

It may be because the fuel pump hasn't had a chance to prime ... Press the remote start button once , then pause a little, then press again..

Sometimes though it does take me two times to start it but I can here if it starts or doesn't so it doesn't bother me

Well I have 26k on my plugs. I just ordered a new set I'm going to run some fuel cleaner through it. and ill more than likely end up with a new battery. Going to clean the air filter to while its out. Also I'm probably due for valve lash adjustment. Maybe Ill do that too.

Mines to the battery

Ya I just went back and read the first few pages. Only thing about that is it's easy to get to but meh, all they did last time was pop the cowl and they had access to the brain unit.

Has anyone considered a backup battery for this? I know some alarm systems have them so you can't kill the alarm by disconnecting the battery and push starting the bike.

Well if your bike is wired correctly then cutting the main wire would disable the brain and furthermore keep the bike from starting because the signal for the kill cutoff would not happen (pink and gray wires)

Ya my kill switch is good. Hadn't even thought about how that would be affected if you cut the power. Damn good point sir.

Well I finally got my remote start working. Basically the computer needs to see 9v from the ignition to kick on the pump and ignition system. Well with the remote start it was putting 12v to the computer so it wouldn't start because it though it was being hot wired. So had to put a extra relay and a few diodes in and it works everytime.

This is interesting. Some of us haven't had a problem with this at all. Some of us have had it work initially then stop.

How did you figure this out(what test did you run)? Could you put together some sort of walkthrough for those of us that are less electronically inclined?
