Thermostat replacement

I need to replace my thermostat and was wondering if anyone had a step by step do it. I looked around on the forums and found a few threads on radiator flush/thermostat stuff but the links in the posts weren't working and i was trying to find some pictures if possible.

If you chase yourself down a service manual you will find a pretty good step by step in there, with pics.

Why did you want to replace the thermostat though?
