Sounds like a rectifier problem, but it being an 04, I'd say check your starter.

 

yes but if I left it 30-60 min to let the engine be cooler the bike start normally :S .. so there is no defect on the battery ... also when I start for the first time in the day .. it start normally
and I already checked them before and they are good

 

IIRC the starter motor on that model DOES fail occasionally.

1 symptom of slow failure is bike will not start when engine warm....

ask NICO, he will set you on the right path...

 

A lot of starters do this when they are starting to go out, I agree this is likely the problem.
You said the bike would get hot sometimes. Did you mean it started overheating or just getting to operating temperature?

Mine does the exact opposite lmao. When its cold if I fire it up and shut it down before it has a chance to run for a few minutes if has a rough time firing back up. But that's usually not an issue unless I accidentally kill it while moving it.

I have no clue.. Good luck on the trouble shooting

 

I have that too '04! Read that its the regulator/rectifier and to replace with one from an 05or06! Its not the battery or starter i can almost guarantee!!

The regulator/rectifier on the 03-04 is a known issue and quite commonly fails. Next on my list would be the starter motor as again now that these bikes are getting on in years they are starting to fail more often.

First point of call would definitely be the RR though.

 

melted / melting wires? see of the starter gets electricity when it doesn't want to turn when its hot.

DISCLAIMER: im not a mechanic. i know nothing about engines. just trying to help

 

Was the RR issue on the 04 not fron the heat of the headers and i have heard but not tried that relocating it can remedy the problem.

Ok. Fair chance that the stator is fine then, the RR however I'm still not convinced on. It needs to be tested whilst it's hot (the RR not just the bike), or it's voltage monitored whilst heating it up with a heat gun.

If you're convinced that the RR is fine, the starter motor is the place to go. They get covered in carbon from the brushes and start experiencing heat failure. To fix it, pull it out, pull it apart and clean it all out. You may also need to replace the brushes depending on how worn they are.

Go through above, probably dirty starter motor/brushes.

Check R/R too...and battery holds and delivers proper VDC and Amps to starter.
